I was pleased to discover Bicycling Magazine has written a short article on some of my favorite rides in Switzerland. These rides highlight the beauty of the wine regions of Switzerland, and give a good insight into the cycling network that has been built in this beautiful country. GPS maps of the rides are given in the online version of the article. Also mentioned in the article is the new Velopass system put in place throughout the country. It allows you to rent a bike at any of the 83 participating train stations for about $7.00 a day. The bicycle can then be dropped off at a different location. It is such a great way to see the country. Switzerland has got cycling down to an art form.
