This morning I came across Vanguard Designs in Niseko, Japan. They are a bicycle design studio crafting new bicycles as well as restoring old ones. The website is wonderful to look through, with many beautiful creations to ogle. The Pedersen Japan seen above is such an interesting looking bicycle; it’s based on a scaled down version of the original 1893 Danish designed Pedersen Bike. Another favorite is the super clean Raleigh Record Ace. This is a 2012 frame built with a mix of Nitto, Shimano, and Sugino. There are so many bicycles to look at on the site that I recommend giving yourself plenty of time.
