SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – September 1, 2015 – Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade show in North America, today announced that four of the top billed cast members of the iconic 1979 cycling film “Breaking Away” will reunite on-stage at the 2015 Interbike Awards Gala on Thursday, September 17th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Members set to appear include the film’s main character, Dennis Christopher (Dave Stoller), Jackie Earle Haley (Moocher), Paul Dooley (Ray Stoller) and Dennis Quaid (Mike).

“Jay Wolff of Helen’s Cycles in Santa Monica, CA, was the master mind behind the reunion concept,” said Pat Hus, Vice President of Interbike. “Jay was instrumental in helping to put these guys together at Interbike to celebrate a film that brought our sport to the big screen in the late 70’s. Interbike attendees and exhibitors are going to want to be part of this special night.”

“Breaking Away” won several awards in 1980, including a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture and an Oscar for Best Writing/Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen. Bernard Hinault is one of the greatest cyclists of all time. He is a five-time winner of the Tour de France and the only man to have won each of the Grand Tours on more than one occasion. In The Badger, bestselling author William Fotheringham finally gets to the bottom of this fascinating character and explores the reasons why France, the nation that considers itself cycling’s home, has found it so hard to produce a successor. Hinault was the last “old-school” champion: a larger-than-life character from a working-class background, capable of winning on all terrains, in major Tours and one-day Classics. Nicknamed “The Badger” for his combative style, he led a cyclists’ strike in his first Tour and instigated a legendary punch-up with demonstrators in 1982 while in the middle of a race. Hinault’s battles with teammates Laurent Fignon and Greg LeMond provide some of the greatest moments in Tour history, and here they are made vivid once again.

Feedback Sports Partners with SportCrafters To Create Innovative Trainer

Utility, Convenience and Performance Trainer that Utilizes Proven Technology

Golden, CO – August 26, 2015 – Feedback Sports –  www.feedbacksports.com – announced today the partnership with SportCrafters Inc – www.SportCrafters.com – to share design and manufacturing resources to introduce the Omnium Portable Trainer.

Feedback will be debuting the Omnium this week at Eurobike. The trainer is designed with a simple fork-mount and integrates internal progressive resistance technology that has been built from over 20 years of proven experience.

The design allows the drums to stay cool, minimizing tire wear both at the races and for in-home use. As a bonus, this technology provides an inherently quiet and smooth ride.  The Omnium weighs 13 pounds, and meets TSA carry-on regulations–always an important concern for team directors, mechanics and athletes who travel.

Feedback Sports’ founder/president Doug Hudson states, “We’re fortunate to team up with SportCrafters on this.  Pete has 20 years of experience in the trainer and roller business.  Having used this new version of the trainer ourselves, we think racers will be particularly happy with the portability and features of the Omnium.”

The Omnium will be available January 2016 through Feedback Sports retailers and online.
