A new bike from New York-based Priority struck my fancy today. It is dubbed the Priority Eight, and is being released in limited quantities. It seems it will be more widely available in the future, but for now, there is a sign-up for a wait list position. The bike will sell for $799.00, come in three sizes, and will use the newest belt drive system from Gates, the CDN. The Shimano Nexus 8 speed internal rear hub will provide plenty of gearing options for tackling all the city has to offer. The frame and fork are made from Ultralite 6061 T6 Aluminum, and the entire bike weighs in at approximately 26 pounds. This seems like an ideal package for the price, and I am quite tempted to put my name on the list.
