On my trip to NYC, I was able to see some Nau pieces in person at NYC Velo. We in Los Angeles do not have that opportunity, so it was nice being able to try the clothing. One piece that made an impression was the Nau Vice Blazer. I really like simple and stylish pieces such as this. It is made from Teijin Ecocircle® technology, a mix of recycled polyester and organic cotton, and is then given a DWR finish for water repellency. The fabric has a heathered look giving the impression of wool. It has five pockets, one of which is at the rear and sized for a small U-lock, a nice touch geared toward the cyclist. I’ve pictured the Tar Heather color for clarity on this site, but mine is the Caviar Heather color, a shade that should do well in any situation. One detail I especially like is the cuff on the sleeves, and how it comes to a point on top of the hand. Small detail indeed, but it sets it apart, and makes it just a touch different. I will wear this often, and report back after I’ve broken it in.
Did you note how your passport just fits perfectly in the inside pocket? I have had this coat for just over a year and grab it for pretty much all occasions. The smattering of pockets make it a great travel coat, I can fit a paperback in the front pockets, noise canceling head phones in the other, passport & ticket inside and business cards in the chest pocket. Am I forgetting anything?
Thanks for the heads up. Hadn’t thought of it for travel yet, but you are so right. Book, passport, headphones, ticket, it will be perfect. I rode with it today, and it’s great for those chilly mornings.
Love this coat and the rest of the collection.
