This is a new bicycle created by Philippe Starck and Peugeot for the City of Bordeaux bike share program. I like the mash up of a scooter and bicycle, as it allows very easy access for those dressed in proper work attire. I’m looking forward to seeing more images, and getting riding impressions from those lucky enough to live in Bordeaux.
I can’t quite picture that bottom plate/foot rest being strong enough to not twist or bend if a heavy rider hit a bump, but maybe it works as a shock absorber?
I agree, but it does look cool, in a scooter kind of way.
